HOW WE HELP

Find the right starting point.

Self-employed or a sole proprietor

Business income for a sole proprietor is reported through a personal income tax return. We review your income, expenses, and supporting records, including work you do alongside a regular job.

Running an incorporated business

A corporation has its own income tax return. We work from your year-end records and discuss the corporate, sales tax, and payroll filings you need, with the scope agreed before work starts.

Books that need attention

If your accounts are behind or transactions are unreconciled, start there. We can review the cleanup needed and discuss ongoing bookkeeping so your records are ready for tax preparation.

Bookkeeping and tax filing do different jobs.

Bookkeeping organizes and reconciles the records behind your numbers. Tax preparation uses those records to prepare the applicable returns. We’ll confirm whether you need one service or both.

PLAN YOUR NEXT STEP

A helpful guide to pricing.

The self-employment category applies to personal returns with business expenses. Corporate returns start at the listed rate. Bookkeeping, cleanup, and additional filings are scoped separately.

All rates in CAD. Taxes and e-filing fees are additional. Categories are a guide; please don’t add them together to estimate your total.

GOOD TO KNOW

A few questions you might have.

Every situation has its own details. We’re here to help you work through yours.

Ask us a question
I freelance. Do I need the corporate tax service?

If you operate as a sole proprietor, your business income is reported on your personal return. Choose personal tax when booking. If you have incorporated, choose business tax. Contact us if you are unsure of your structure.

Are bookkeeping and sales tax filings included in the corporate price?

The starting corporate rate is for the corporation income tax return. Cleanup, ongoing bookkeeping, GST/HST, PST, and payroll work depend on your needs and must be confirmed in the agreed scope.

My records are behind. Can I still get started?

Yes. Tell us which periods need attention and what records are available. We’ll review the cleanup required before confirming the preparation work, cost, and timing.

Can you work with my existing bookkeeper?

Yes. We can work from your existing records and identify the reports or reconciliations needed for year-end. We’ll agree on how information should be shared.
